Where they differ most

A limit, or a job

Copilot gives each category a spending limit and shows how you're tracking against it. Tare starts from the money you already have and gives every dollar a job, so what's left to spend is always money that's really there. Want next month covered before it starts? Hold money back for it.

Holding money for next month

Two people, two logins

Copilot shares one account, and a partner gets full access. In Tare each person has their own login, each account is joint or personal, and Tare works out each person's share of the shared bills.

Subscriptions found for you

In Copilot, you create a recurring from a transaction that's already happened. Tare finds charges that come back on a schedule by itself, adds up what they cost a year, and tells you when a price goes up.

Does Tare have a Mac or iPhone app?

Not yet. Tare runs in your web browser today, and iOS and Android apps are coming soon.
